Go where you are celebrated not tolerated

Hey Y’all,

This morning I made a video for my TikTok community about something that’s been on my heart Go where you are celebrated, not tolerated.

I realized it’s important to share this here with you too, because this truth is what led me to TikTok in the first place.

When I first started my healing, growth, and self-love journey, I wanted to build a space that reflected where I was in life. But on my other platforms, my timeline was filled with people from college, past jobs, and even high school. That mixed crowd made me hesitant to post the content I really wanted to share. Deep down, I was worried people would judge me or not take me seriously.

And even though we like to say we don’t focus on numbers, subconsciously I did. I would post quotes and words of encouragement, then look at the views and wonder, “Why aren’t people engaging? I know this is good work.” What I was expecting, though, was for people who knew me before my journey to immediately understand the new me.

When that didn’t happen, I went into hiding for a while. I needed time to reflect, build my confidence, and remind myself that what I was creating was bigger than me. This journey wasn’t about perfection or popularity it was about sharing truth and living my words. And trust me, breaking old habits and healing doesn’t look perfect. There will be slip-ups. But the key is to keep getting back on track.

When I felt ready to start again, I wanted a clean slate. That’s when I turned to TikTok. Starting from zero gave me freedom. I knew that anyone who came across my page genuinely wanted to be there they were interested in my content, my routines, or simply my energy.

Here’s the thing: staying where you are tolerated can hold you back. It can keep you small, insecure, or even make you feel like an imposter. But when you go where you are celebrated, you’ll find people who want to cheer you on. They don’t mind giving you compliments, sharing encouragement, or telling you that your words made an impact.

And when you’re figuring out who you are, those positive voices matter so much more than the ones that don’t understand, or don’t respect your growth.

So, if you’re in a space where you feel overlooked, questioned, or misunderstood, take this as your reminder: go where you are celebrated. Your growth deserves to be honored, not doubted.

Happy Self-Loving 🪷

With Love,

B
